Fairdeal-Germany calls buyers and sellers on Ebay to boycott from June 1 to June 30.

On June 1, 2008 the new and one-sided Feedback system will be introduced on German Ebay. For this reason buyers and sellers should boycott Ebay together, and show Ebay that their members do not like these things. Together we are stronger. Particularly since many buyers are also private sellers, they should join with the business sellers for a fair feedback system and a customer-friendly Ebay.

Ebay has certainly not changed the feedback system just for that reason alone, so that the feedback system should be supposedly more fair. But they have rather also recognized how important the buyers are for their business. And they would not like to lose these customers to other auction sites, which would have a lasting effect with large losses of revenue. Thus Ebay has made scapegoats of the sellers, in order to protect their financial income, when what is really necessary, is a fairer and customer-friendly feedback system.

We call upon buyers at this time to also boycott. Because we are of the opinion, that it is more sensible to boycott together, and to pull together against Ebay . Thus buyers should buy on other auction sites. Many sellers will list their items there. ;-) We know from experience that customs can not be changed overnight.

We offer sellers the opportunity to be able to represent themselves in our forum; to be able to advertise themselves in other auction sites. So that other auction sites become as well known as Ebay. In addition, buyers should buy on other auction sites during the boycott, because there are not many buyers there. So the buyer can find good deals and the sellers' losses can be reduced this way.

Also we know that it will not be possible for many business sellers to be able to renounce Ebay completely, in order not to endanger their own existence. They also do not have to do this; everyone should do what they are capable of doing; nobody will make a reproach about that. Besides, it is not expected that a business seller can boycott for a month. Everyone should do what they can.

It is certainly not our purpose to damage or destroy Ebay. Ebay does this all by themselves, if they continue as they have done so far. What we want is an Ebay appropriate for customers with fair prices!

But as Ebay is at the moment, the sellers and buyers may not let themselves be pleased.

Which buyers and sellers will take part and fight for a better Ebay? Who will have enough time to make preparations, especially for business sellers? Unfortunately, we have learned too late of the last Ebay boycott, but it was a great beginning. There will always be complete egoists as a buyers and sellers everywhere. That it is always to be expected. We hope however, that many will go along. You do it first of all for yourself.

boycott

Hello Detlef. I would also wish to offer my support to you in this ongoing boycott. I have been boycotting since ebay announced their new inane policies. I have registered on 3 other selling venues. I have had 1 sale but it is my only listing so far. I told the item using Craigs List.

Thank you for starting this forum. I believe if we all stand together we can make a difference.

I forgot to say that I am from the US.

Pretty welcome Lilyjo

in the forum, many thanks for the offered support which we need everything and need. Lilyjo this we have done with pleasure to open this forum because we would not like to accept it as to us Ebay treats as a paying customer. There are better auctioneers like Ebay, only they must still become much more known one as before. Those lack the money for expensive advertisements. Because they ask for her achievements a little or nothing at all.

Lots of love Detlef

This is Australia calling. 8.15pm Sunday Evening.

USA members are Boycotting on the 1 May and Beyond which is only 2 days away. Why can't we get united for once and do it all on the same day? Give a chance to all the other countires to join in as well. Preferably on the 1 June as us Aussies just found out about this 3 weeks ago.

We are just a little slow behind where we are down under!!!!! Please forgive us but we have big hearts guys & gals

you have our support here in NY USA

I personally can Boycott on key dates, as I am a trading assistant, I am boycotting from may1st thru the 8th, and advertising on my car;) i get stopped all the time, Although I am still on ebay, as I am disabled, and cannot work outside the home, I strongly oppose most all the changes, we ALL, buyers, sellers, on Ebay and those that have left eBay completely, can still talk to the media, in ALL COUNTRIES, here is the USA, we support All the Countries, that ebay has become the monopoly that is has, and affected negatively around the world, "a safe and friendly enviorment". Even if our message isnt addressed by ebay from a May 1st Borcott, I believe as we All communicate, and spread the truth of ebays wrong doings, as even now I reported to others who stop me on a daily bases, how in australia they are looking to make "paypal only", I support them as well, I will not buy or sell on the dates other countries are boycotting, to show my support here in the U.S. of A. Thank you for this forum, kind regards, donna
